Upgrading? Some things you need to know.

Upgrade or Trade-in?

If you have an old release of OpenServer or UnixWare, it is normally cheaper to upgrade or trade-in to the latest release. The table below shows which releases are eligable for upgrades and those that require trade-ins:

OpenServer 6	OpenServer 5.0.7	OpenServer 5.0.6 and before
OpenServer 5.0.7	OpenServer 5.0.6	OpenServer 5.0.5 and before
UnixWare 7.1.4	UnixWare 7.1.1 - 7.1.3	UnixWare 7.1.0 and before

You can trade-in to any Current Release above from SCO UNIX and XENIX releases.

Which version are you on now?

You will need to know the exact version your current SCO release is in order to choose the correct Upgrade or Trade-in.

To find this out, follow the steps below:

• Login as root

• Type the following at the command prompt:

Within the response you will see the release number eg 5.0.5 or 7.1.1

Download CD media free

The quickest way to get your SCO system running is to purchase the licenses from our site and download SCO media from http://www.sco.com/support/download.html - normally, the media includes a 30-day eval license and we will email the full licenses normally within a day of receiving your order.
